You have the right to delete your MELD account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to request account deletion and what happens to your data.
⚠ Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once your account is deleted, all your saved recipes, preferences, and account information will be permanently removed. This action cannot be reversed.
What Gets Deleted
- Your account and authentication credentials
- All saved recipes and associated AI-generated images
- Your dietary preferences and app settings
- Your recipe generation history and quota records
- Your profile information (email, display name)
What Is Not Immediately Deleted
- Device trial records: Retained for up to 12 months to prevent abuse of free trial systems.
- Subscription records: Retained by RevenueCat per their data retention policy for billing and refund purposes.
- Aggregated, anonymized usage data: Non-identifiable statistical data may be retained indefinitely.
- Legal hold data: Data may be retained longer if required by applicable law or ongoing legal proceedings.
How to Delete Your Account
RECOMMENDED
Method 1 — Delete In-App
- Open the MELD app on your device
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field
- Tap the red Delete My Account button
A 3-day grace period begins. Your account will be permanently deleted within 3 days. You can cancel by logging back into the app within this period.
Method 2 — Email Request
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to:
Email: monarc.devs@gmail.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request – MELD
Include: Your registered email address or user ID
We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm deletion via email.
Grace Period
When you request account deletion in-app, a 3-day grace period is initiated. During this period:
- Your account is marked for deletion but not yet permanently removed
- You can cancel the deletion by signing back into the app
- After 3 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted
After Deletion
Once your account is permanently deleted:
- You will no longer be able to access any saved recipes or account data
- Your email address will be released and can be used to create a new account
- Active subscriptions will not be automatically cancelled — you must cancel them separately via the App Store or Google Play
Cancel Your Subscription:
iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → MELD → Cancel
Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MELD → Cancel
